You want an abalone recipe, you're tired of the same old thing,
well here it is, in the old tradition. Very simple abalone recipe
it is, too. Soy Sauce, Giant Chinese mushrooms, abalone. If you
mess this one up you might as well just hang up your chef's hat
because there's not much to do to even mess up!
Get your vintage imported 1802 wok out, heat to blazing and add
generous soy sauce. With soy sauce boiling violently, drop in
tenderized abalone, as per every abalone recipe ever. Let braise
briefly, then dump soy sauce and add peanut oil and sauté thinly
sliced giant mushrooms. The hardest part of this recipe is
probably finding a store that will sell these mushrooms, and then
slicing them. Slice braised abalone thinly. Your traditional
Chinese abalone with mushroom abalone recipe is complete when you
add the mushroom and abalone together in a bowl. Serve hot. Cold
Chinese beer recommended.
